Overview

Date played: den 20 november 2014
This report will handle a pitched battle between Empire and Bretonnia.
Setup is straightforward and simple. A single stone stands on the field and Bretonnia has a tower on their side of the field.

To have the Metal Loremaster against me was a bit frightning with only a lvl 2 to counter.
And i did a fatal misstace in this setup. Why, oh why did he manage to intimidate me with his Xbows to setup the KotR and QK on the wrong side.
I dont know and this set my strategy totaly of the charts.
I had planed to use the HkB to finish off something big and the QK to mash potato with the challange lord up front. I Switched the knights and they ended up not being able to use their virtues/items. BAD CALL...
I rolled of a win but decided to pray of course

Turn 1 - Empire-Stirland

DK went up straight for my MaA and BG followed to support the center and right flank.
ST rolled Misfire on the steampoints and lost them all.
MAGIC
BG rolled of a double 6 and lost the spell and 2 levels on the first roll…
SHOOTING
XB made 2 wounds on PK and took one of the battlefield immediately, dangerous fellas with 30” range…
The GC rolled misfire but nothing bad happened.
I was starting to believe that the Lady was with me despite my totally shitty deployment.

MA Moves up to face the fearsome DK
PK in to the fray to lure any one off KO och DK to charge theme next turn
Set up the KotR oand QK for a double charge next turn against the KO. 14” charge range and I made a gamble. Weeled the QK outside the LOS for KO

Put wysans blessing on the MaA
SHOOTING
Fire, Fire, Fire, the sounds from the sergeants echoed over the battlefield and Bretonnias forces shoot with their hearts. The GK was hit my the FT and exploded in a pile of smoke. BG was hit by numerous arrows and he failed to se and eliminate one of them that stryck home. The Enemy general was hurt!

Turn 2 - Empire-Stirland

DK charges the PK and they flee to lure them in, DK tries to redirect into the MaA but fail their charge and stop short in front of the horde of peasants
KO Manages to roll enough to charge into my KotR, damn!
ST failes to roll enough to steam roll my QK
MAGIC
BG rolls another Total Power and loses one more level, hes now a level 1 !
SHOOTING
XB fires and strikes on QK from his sadle.
ST fires a direct hit on the FT and dissaperas in a cloud of splinters
CLOSE COMBAT
KO hits and kills 4 KotR and they flee, cowards! KO cant catch up and fail to run them over.
Turn 2 - Bretonnia

QK charges the ST as the PK is in the weay

MaA Fails to do any wounds… crap DK hits back and kills 4 of them. Stand off is the result
QK gives the ST one wound
Turn 3 - Empire-Stirland

KO charges the KotR
MOVEMENT
BG goes back to the Empire side of the battlefield
MAGIC
BG sends golden dogs on the QK killing two of them
SHOOTING
PK suffers one more wond from the XB
CLOSE COMBAT
GK destroys the MaA and KO annihilates the KotR
Turn 3 - Bretonnia

CHARGES
QK Charges the XB and they can not stand their ground and due to the banner thay can not stand and shoot so they flee and get overrun by the massive charge that takes the QK of the table. Not so bloody brilliant…

PK hunts for BG
And in panic the PB weels to shoot at KO

QK comes on to the field again, but thay can not move and prepare themselves for at mighty charge from the DK
PK hunts the silly wizard on his 360 arc of fire mount, we hates them…

BG gets struck by another arrow and he suffers another wound.

BG failes to kill of the PK

As the DK has no champion the Empire manages to totally nullify my virtues and magic items without knowing it *sigh*
2 wounds on the QK who manage to kill a DK. DK loses with one and will make a LD 7 or be broken, and he rolls ….. 7 !!! CRAP !

Once more the DK manages to kill 2 QK and they recive one wound. A stand off is the result if the final fight.
TOTAL RESULT;
EMPIRE – BRETONNIA 13-7 (this is recounted with the 1600 pts and komp)
Lesson Learned: Dont fear the enemy, kill them instead... !
